high idle ,wont start

my car has a high idle , but i have ti step on the gas while cranking it to start. its a tpi you shouldnt have to do this anyone have any ideas?? i had the computer checked no codes came up twice so i dont think its sensor related thanx for any suggestions.

you need to get a scanner on it to see what's going on. it could be the tps or the iac or several other things. you may have injectors leaking and causing a minor flooding situation and by opening the throttle you are allowing enough air into the engine to compensate. I would find someone with a scanner and check out the tps readings first of all. it should read around .54 volts with the throttle closed and go up to around 4 volts at WOT.
