Best mid-range camshaft

Looking for the best hydraulic flat tappet cam for the 2000-6000
rpm range in a 350.

Axle/Gears: 3.23s
In my opinion, something in the range of 218/224 @.050, or maybe up to 224/230 @.050. If we're talking TPI I'd definitely stay with the smaller one... Cooresponds to the CompCams XE262 and 268 to be specific. I'm running the XE262 in my engine, pretty happy with it. Plenty of companies make something comparable.

I believe the Crane 272 is their equivelent of the Comp 262, so you are probably running as good as you are going to.
