Help! Car is bogging with any amount gas given...
Hey guys. It's been about 2 months since I've driven the car, but I'm a little worried. Whenever I gave it anymore than a slight tap on the gas it would stall and then kick back in at around 2200rpms, but it was still kinda weak. I figured the car just hadn't warmed up yet, but the engine temp was 200* before I turned the water pump on. I never remember having this problem before, do I just need to "break it in" some more and this bogging will just go away? The 4.10's gears are not the proper gear to go with my current engine setup so that probably doesn't help, but there has never been bogging this bad.

Craze,
What are you running for a fuel system? It could be that your carb (if equipped) isn't warming the choke enough to relax the high idle cam.

Yes, Vader, I am running a carb'd setup and there is no choke on the car. I thought that when the engine reached operating temperature that the carb would respond normally, is this not the case? Does the carb need extra time to "warm up"? It was 20* outside last night, so I'm sure that didn't help, but I had it running for approx. 10 minutes before I shut her off.
I took it to the gas station probably for the last time until spring and it was better than before once I gave it about 10-15 minutes to warm up. It wasn't perfect, though...I wonder if I just let it circulate even more that it will finally be OK. The idle was high and it was choppy.
The damn engine is a bear, though, I was able to break my brand new Nitto Drag Radials quite easily. I don't like cold weather!!
