Fuel pump shutoff

Is there some sort of a reset for the fuel pump circuit? Someone told me that it has to be in there to shut fuel off in case of an accident. I could see that if I had an airbag car, but mine is an '88.

nope.........you got a fuse and relay the ECM uses to turn the pump on........you also have a oil pressure switch that once oil pres is above 3 psi bypasses fuel pump relay and turns pump on
