i bought a 90 rs camaro for my wife,it's supposely only has 67,483
miles on the car,we'll she saw it and loved it,had to have it.well i didn't get a chance to look over it and drive it very well but i bought it anyways, pretty clean car.we'll about a week later she runs it with out any oil and i believe it locked it up.i bought a 3 mth warranty with the car since i was able to over look it.we took it back and they put another motor in it,short block and then sent the heads off for valve job.we get it back and i look at everything and it dont seam like an engine had been removed, they even spraypainted the dist.cap black but did a good job not getting over every thing, but it doesn't run right at all, first they had #1 off,so restabbed dist and it ran better.noticed the front main seal leaking alittle, odd for a new engine?and now the thing make a awful knocking sound coming from the center of the valley,it seams to be worst when cold but if you get on it it doesn't get lounder, but it still there when warm.don't no if it's a main or a valve.i took the covers off and ran the valve and they are fine,or everything appear to be ok.i don't know what's up if they really put a engine in or not, they had it for two months and the paper work doesn't say anything like where they order the shortblock from or any serial #,and i noticed that we bought the car with 64,583 on it,and it has now 67,483 and if i reset the trip odmeter the 10th will start rotating backwards,so i think they pulled a good one on us.so before i aproach this i want to have my homework done, can you run the numbers for me or tell me where to go to find out.the vin is 1G1FP23E9LL116074 and the block # are
vo805dbl and then a second set under them is 1nl101431. any info will help, thankyou.

look in front of the passanger side head by the corner of the water pump, there should be a partial vin from the vehicle the engine was origionally installed in as well as a suffix code, see if the vin matches the car.. you shouldn't post your vin on here tho.. not a very good idea.. people can do bad stuff with it.
edit: oops that looks like what you already posted.. and i'd havta say no those vin numbers don't match even though its only a partial.. they probably replaced it with a 150 dollar junkyard engine.
