LT1 intake coolant route w/griffin radiator

Axle/Gears: 3.45/3.42 (soon 4.10)
LT1 intake coolant route w/griffin radiator

Anybody who has one, how do you route the coolant from the intake while keeping your heater? My new radiator has no fittings on it to run to the heater. Also, I have a cooler from an LT1 car I was considering using on my 383 as well. It's a coolant to oil cooler; where would be the best place to run the hoses for it?

that would work, but...

...my radiator has no return fittings on it. And I dont see how I can run it with an oil cooler and not have a jungle of coolant hoses all over the place, looking awkward and tacky. I have nowhere I can send the coolant back to in that way since my pump's opening in the top opens up 45 degrees toward the driver's side. now coolant travels pressurized up through both heads (intake fittings), right? I was thinking since I have a oil cooler that I would run one line from the intake, through the heater core and to the adapter, while I could run the other side through the oil cooler on it's way to the adapter. It'll be a mess of hoses but it'll work. My biggest concern doing it this way would be the heat from the engine oil being picked up in the coolant and having lower coolant temperature than I should have. I'm planning on a 170 balanced thermostat. I would much rather have the oil cooler on it's own set of hoses. I also considered running the heater core though one return line, the other straight to the adapter, and run the 5/8 hose from the water pump to the oil cooler, then to the adapter on the 5/8 side. That makes most sense to me...any ideas?

Oh, and John, I never got the chance to send those fittings to you to make a set of fuel hoses. I was gonna do that like 6 months ago but my life has been 'colorful'. How much did you say for a set of hoses if I sent you the fuel fittings to the fuel rail again?

You don't have to run it to the radiator. You can run the return to the top of the water pump. Read the note on the diagram again.
