simple pulley q

If one of your pulleys squeals/whines while the cars running whats that a sign of and how do you fix it.

A slipping belt.

Look for shine between the ribs of the belt and on the top of the ribs on the pulleys. That's a sign of the small "vee's" on the belt being worn out. Or, possibly wear of the pulley(s) itself.

The tensioner should be putting the proper force on the belt as well. A worn belt or tensioner spring can contribute to that problem.
