ok first off i didnt know where to post this thread at so i just did it here.
Ok i need to know if a certain size tire will fit in the rear. Right now i have 16x8 rims with 245/50/16 and looking to put on M&H drag slicks which are 305/40/16. I was wondering if i get these tires and mount them on my back rims if they will fit without any modification? is it going to be too wide where i might have to cut some of the inner tire wall? or will it be fine with just some of the tire sticking out from the side. anyways i could use your guys help on what you think. thanks

Im sure you could get them on, I wouldnt do it though, it would like crap and if they do fit you will rub like a ******.
then what would be the best size to go with my rims? i was also thinking like 275's but i cant find many slicks that go on 16 inch rims.
If you want tires for the track only, you could use Mickey Thompson's in 26 x 9.50-16 or for street/strip use, you could use BFGoodrich Comp T/A Drag Radials in 255/50/R16.

you can run an 11.50" tire on an 8" wheel, that's the max. though. I'd just run a 10.5" tire on an 8 inch wheel, you don't need that mch rubber. I know people in the 9s with 26x9.5x16" ET Drags
