PLEASE HELP. I dont know what to do anymore
ok. Heres the problem in a nutshell... I wrote a couple days ago, (problems keep coming), about my clutch pedal being stiff, and got some helpful replies. Well, At work today, I dropped the tranny, because I narroowed the problem down to somewhere in between the clutch fork and the clutch plate. which includes the throwout bearing pressure plate, and the transmission spline. I say this because the fork will not depress the fingers on the pressure plate, so it cany be anything to do with the flywheel. And it cant be the slave, because you cant move the fork to depress the fingers even with a prybar. Anyways... I took it all apart today, and looked at it. I work at a dealership, and I even had the transmission tech look at it. He agreed with me that everything looks fine, and we were able to depress the fingers on the plate with a clutch alignment tool in place of the transmission spline. We figured everything was good at this point... Well being Saturday, he left early, and I put everything back together, well... The problem still exists!!! THis thing has been bothering me for 2 weeks!!! I want to put my car in storage and I cant until I fix it. Again, everything looks fine. I NEED HELP. PLEASE.
T&A,
Does the throwout bearing move freely on the input shaft extension housing? A failed bearing can wear agroove in this housing and hang up when the fork tries to move it.
Is the fork binding in the bell housing somehow? It should move freely on the pivot ball, and should be able to move way beyond what is necessary to actuate the clutch release fingers. If the ball pivot were somehow moved too far forward the fork could be encountering interference from the opening in the bell housing.
Just a couple of ideas.

vader, thanks for replying again, first off, the throwout bearing does seem to move freely, I had the tranny on the ground, and I slid the t/b up and down the shaft w/ no problem. Also I didnot see any grooves in the shaft. As for the fork, It looks right. when the bellhousing was out, the fork seemed to move VERY freely, in fact, it was hard to keep it in place while putting the tranny back in. I dont think that is the problem but is somthing that I will double check. Thanks again. If there are any more ideas out there, I will greatly appreciate it. Im getting to the point where I want to farm it out to another shop!!
if it isnt the hydraulics, T/O bearing/fork then it must be in the PP or disc. Did you remove them when you had the trans out. I had a piece of clutch disc break off and lodge iself in one of the fingers in the PP...had to take it apart three times before i found the problem
