Cat. Conv. Question
Cat. Conv. Question
Tried on the exhasut board and got no response, so I'll try here. I need to replace the cats on my dual cat setup on a stock 305 TPI. I was looking at 2 options - replace both, or convert to a single high flow cat. How much diff. will a single high flow cat vs. the dual cat setups make? The only other mod is I have a hooker aerochamber muffler (which is on its way out too!).
Thanks!

Can't help with the effectiveness, but I think you'll need a new Y-pipe as well, or more modifications to the existing one...
Could get the cost back up to buying two cats...

Whats it look like under a f-body with 2 cats?? Are they beside each other?? On top of eath other?? Does each side of the engine run into a cat?? Or does it go into a y pipe then into the 2 cats and them back to the muffler?? You could just put a piece of pipe in, instead of the cat.
Yeah, I know I'd need a new Y-pipe. Just looking at options.
Godti - Its two cats side by side, then a Y into a single 3" intermediate pipe. Unfortunately I can't just run pipe, gotta pass emissions on a treadmill here in MD.
