Power loss

My v6 has always ran pretty strong, until I made some upgrades. My v6 used to be able to do a small burn out, but not since the upgrades. A couple months ago I decided to scrap my stock muffler and install a cherrybomb, I thought removing the restrictive muffler would help but it didn't the car did not pick up as quick, but sounded a little better. then I decided to experiment with an exhaust cutout. after installation I didn't feel a real change in power but the car was even louder. I leave the cutout open most of the time now to **** off my neighbors and only close it when I see a cop. then I bought an slp cold air intake with a k&n thinking this would help greatly but I still didn't feel a difference. with all these upgrades, I feel like my car is running slower than ever. now when I try to burn out my car lags at 1500 rpm then starts moving, this lag is very frustrating. what is my cars problem? is there an easy fix (don't say get a v8)? I tried going back to stock with everything but it still runs the same way.

thats odd, being afetr the cat.. id assume a performance
muffler would help..

maybe ur fuel pressure doesnt ajust to the increase in air..

If going back to stock didnt bring back the lost performance..
id do a compression test, check ur filters.. check for codes
with a scan tool

good luck

Yeah, I agree with Spectre, I'd have a look at your fuel pressure. Seems almost like you're getting too much gas.
Also, if you have a TBI, make sure that all the little vaccuum hoses and other connections under the air cleaner are plugged in. My TBi is notorious for having lines come undone after I'm pulled the cleaner assembly. Some are hard to get too, but it;s worth a look
