Two torx bolts at rear of right runner to manifold stripped (help!) >>>

Well I do believe I may be SOL this time...Not only are the remains of the thermo bolt still stuck to the threads, I've managed to strip the heads on three torx bolts while trying to remove the manifold...managed to massage one out but the two at the back of the right runner are shot...and ideas? I'm not even sure what to do now so I'm completely open to any ideas...thanks in advance

I may no longer rock if this keeps up!!! Well I've tried hammering the T45 on, hex head sockets, flathead screwdrivers, allen wrenches with vice grips, the works. I hate torx!! If I ever get these things out I just might pay Totally Stainless the $85 or so to get a hex head bolt set for tpi. Does anyone have any advice for drilling out torx bolts?? (not something I'm eager to do!)

Had a similar problem. Tried all kinds of tricks that didn't work. Impact driver, heat, larger torx bit, etc.

Ended up grinding off the heads with my Makita High Speed grinder and carbide bit.

Funny thing, once the heads of the bolts were ground off and the manifold removed, I could unscrew the 'studs' that remained with my fingers.

Wow thanks for the idea - you might have just saved me a bunch of cash. A guy at the machine shop asked if I could drill off the heads of the bolts and I can't but it never occurred to me to use my trusty dremel and that damn expensive carbide grinding bit I REALLY should study for finals tomorrow but I just might have to take a car break hehe. Thanks again!
