H.O. Heads?

H.O. Heads?

was tryin to find out if my car had the H O heads or not...the 8th number in the vin is an H...but wasn't sure if that meant it had the heads or not, my car is an 84 z-28 5 speed

It's an Lg4, 150 HP...the last 3 numbers stamped on the heads should tell you what they are. Could be the same heads...not sure. That's not all that separates an LG4 from an L-69 (HO)... try a search. Lots of info on them!

If the 8th Digit in the vin is 7 or G, it should look somethin like this:

The LG4 and L69 used the same heads. Of all the differences between them, that wasn't one of them. They would have been 416 castings.
