knock knock......whats there?

The lo3's driving me nuts!!!!!

I've developed a knock.But its only if I accelerate while driving.If I'm idle,its OK.I can rev...its OK.But I drive down the road and clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick.

My first thought is my push rods and/or rockers, since I did recam it a month or so ago.But wouldnt that be constant and not only in acceleration?I also put in 92 octane gas.It still knocks.Changed plugs and wires.Still knocks.
Its too loud to be injectors or exhaust.
Any ideas?

I WAS going to say def. sounds like bad plugwires, but you said you changed those already...

Have you checked your timing? Maybe it's way up high. I believe retarded timing will have similar effects too....

Or leaning out is a possibility as well. Check your plugs and fuel pressure...

Wouldn't you be looking for something in the driveline instead of the engine since you can rev it up without hearing it?

Never thought of that......

It sounds like its from the engine though.
