Swapped in an cam...will my EGR give me problems???
Well i didn't really think about this until now but... I got my 305 with a Edlebrock performer cam.. its says its the non-EGR style. So will my engine throw codes when i get it all back together?? Will the EGR even work? i need to get it to pass emissions next year (2002). any help is appreciated

Z,
It's a good thing the EGR is not controlled by the camshaft. You EGR will work the same way it always has, but the camshaft grind profile is probably not designed to have EGR gasses added to the system at cruise.
I'm guessing on the cam grind specs, but I'm thinking this is an older design cam grind that isn't intended for a street engine. It shouldn't be a major problem for the EGR. The biggest problem you'll likely encounter is low idle vacuum and poor torque at low RPMs. Flow at higher RPM should be greatly improved, however.
More definite information about the cam would be helpful.
