y does it smoke?

i was just wondering i notice on damp/raining days or just really cold days that smoke comes from the exhaust when u start it up at first alot then it calms down and stops after i drive for a bit. i am assumeing its normal because i see every car doing it. and the colour of my smoke is the same as everyone elses. is it caused from running to rich or something? or is it normal?, if so y?

Your body contains a lot of moisture. Everytime you exhail millions of water particles are also releases. Those small water particles freeze very fast...this is why you see your breath.

On a car no moisture should be existing the exhuast pipes. Over a cold night moisture will settle in your exhaust pipes. So when the car is first started it will slowly evaporate the water. This is why you see so much at first. As the car warms up all its evaporated away and there is no more moisture left in the system. If you have a leaky headgasket or anti-freeze/water getting into the combustion chamber it would cause that all the time.

wow that sounded almost smart
