Does anyone know if a 4th gen fuel tank will fit in a 3rd gen?

I know it's a random question, but sometimes you've got to use what's available!!!

Someone else just covered this a few days ago; but I don't think anyone knew. Click on "search" at the top of the screen, I bet if you search for "plastic gas tank", you should find it.
