hollel stealth and vortec heads

I know it is not made for those heads but, befor the tpi base was made for those heads people where adding metal around the ports and shaping them to fit. do you think the stealth base could be made like that? it would really kick butt because I can get a set really cheap.

You can do anything you want...depending on your resources, time, skills, etc. I am sure you could figure out way to modify the intake/heads to work together.

Why go to all the trouble though? You could get some decent heads to work with the HSR used for a resonable price. I know the Vortecs are a great buy, but I think you would spend a lot of time/money on getting to all work in the long run. My $.02...

The HSR will not work on a Vortec head without welding lots of extra material to the flanges, the Vortec ports are way to high. Hell even the bolt holes are way up there on the Vortec heads. Think about that when you are about to drill the brand new HSR for the Vortec bolt pattern.

Either get an intake designed for Vortec heads or get standard SBC heads for your HSR.
