Have a few questions here.. ive been getting a trouble code for a lil bit now coding 34 which is maf related, but if i stop the car and stall it, and restart, the light goes away and the car runs fine.. well now the light is on all the time, and yesterday morning before work it would crank but not fire.. when i got home from work it fired right up, and gave me the same code, but it ran.. now this morning it wont start again. Im pretty lost here, i dont see how it could be the MAF cause the car runs when its started, but not as good as it should.. now i have a snap-on scanner and its showing code 34 and 24, which is maf , and no speedo signal, but i know why the signal code is showing, cause obviously my speedo is not plugged in or whatever.. anyways, is there anything i should look for specifically, i noticed that when the key is on i get a 0.0 voltage for fuel pump, should it be 0.0?? and for MAF (gM /sec) it reads 15 when the cars off, but key is on (for scanner), does this mean the MAF sensor is bad? I dont really know what else to look for. If anyone can shine some light on this it owuld help me out alot, i dont have the money to go buying parts till its fixed, although this does seem fuel related and easy to solve.. any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks for any tips you can give.

Also, TPS is new and set at .52-.54, and if i spray ether into it, it starts up, but dies after.. im almost positive its fuel related, but in what area is what im concerned about.. thanks.

 

Have you trried to unplug the MAF connector? Doing so should allow the engine to at least run, administering fuel and spark based on the base lookup tables ("Limp-home" mode).

 

thought about that earlier but didnt try it.. just went outside and did, but still no luck, cranks but wont light up.. its been recently tuned so i doubt its a spark problem considering with ether it fires.. the TPS is new, new cap / rotor / 8.8 wires all MSD, IAC.. dont think its a fuel filter problem cause its not bogging when i open her up (when she runs :/ ).. thats about all i can think of
