Have you done anywork to the car recently? Example: changed the oil pressure switch, changed the Ignition control module? Anything?
And if you havent try checking for a short on the ECM. I dont know the exact pin or port or wire... these guys know more about it than i would....:hail:

everything is brand new on this motor, i just noticed it running when i got out of the car yesterday. i restarted it and let it run for a few seconds and this time it shut off when i turned the car off. but i took another drive in it last night and i didnt check to see if it was running after i shut the car off and when i got up this morning my battery was dead. so when i put the charger on it this morning my fuel pump started working. i cant figure this out........thanks

It is either the relay sticking or the oil pressure switch sticking. Next time it happens tap on the fuel pump relay and see if it stops. If not then unplug the fuel pump relay, then the oil pressure switch plug until it stops.
Find out where these items are before hand.

yep.. thats the switch thats used in efi cars as a backup activation for the fuel pump. The switch powers the pump directly when closed.

that happend on my car when i first got it, it had a new battery in it too. I guess the previous owner got tired of trying to figure it out. Turns out someone replaced the Fuel pump relay and two wires were Very close to eachother and touching eachother. The wires were also stripped too much, making the relay bypassed.

That's what happened to me. The fuel pump relay got stuck in the on position, and with the key off, you'd hear the electric pump still going.
Just pull the connector out of the the relay, and drive the car until you replace both the fuel pump relay, and the oil swich primer. The car will run fine.... it'll just take longer to start though.
