Restoring

Ok here's my question I am wondering how hard it is to do a frame off restoration on my 83 L69 Trans AM cause it desperately needs it and I want to keep it alive so I just want to know if anybody has done one of these on a third gen bird before or not and what I need to do to do this kind of a major project. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yep, no frame....so no luck there.

What's the condition of the underbody? If it's all rusty...then you might just have a junk car. The only way to "restore" a unibody would be to start grinding and welding in new material. Which may or may not work, as the body itself could shift when you grind the old stuff out, then you'd weld the new stuff in and it would be warped.

No easy answer really...it very well might just be better to one in better shape.
