Question on timing advance
Question on timing advance
I have an '86 LG4 with the following mods (check sig) the manual says timing should be set at 0*, what is opitimal advance? I am also reoplacing my stock secondary rods and hanger with a set of CK rods and a B hanger would this require any other adjustments to the motor or carb? Thanks in advance guys.

The LG4 definetely likes more timing. I'd go up to about 8 or even 10 if it doesnt ping. I'd say start around 6 or so and then slowly give it more timing until it starts pinging under heavy (wide open throtle).
