Degreeing ZZ4 Cam etc.

I will be installing the ZZ4 cam in my L98 350 TPI. The engine has Brodix street heads, SLP 1 5/8 headers and modified TPI intake system and lots of other goodies. Question? Is it best to install the cam straight up, retard maybe 4 degrees or advance maybe 4 degrees? I would like to move the HP up the RPM range. Right now I have about 255RWHP at 4200RPM and pretty flat to about 5200RPM.
Next question with the aluminum Brodix heads and the 67/68cc combustion chambers I lost compression from 9:3 with the stock L98 iron heads to maybe 9:0 or less. I was looking at the Summit web site and they have the Sterling Hypereutectic piston(STL-H618O) with a .125" dome and that should get me to 10.1/1 compression. Also looking at the Seal Power SLP-E-251K ring set. Is this a good combination for street/strip use? Any idea of the horse power gain with raising the compression back up to where it should be with the aluminum heads? Thanks, Allen

PS. My goal is 300RWHP.

i'd run it straight up, which ought to be with 4* advanced ground into it.

Im putting the ZZ4 in my 305. How important is it to degree the cam? And by strait up, what does that mean? Just put it in the same position your old cam was? thanks guys.

straight up is zero degrees not advanced nor retarded. it's about as important to degree a cam as it is to measure clearances. how many people really measure clearances? i bet very few ,most they do is check it with plastigage on a good day.
