I have a 88 Trans Am but the stock spedo only goes up to 120 mph. I ran it as hard as it would go and I only hit 123-124. Whats the deal does it have a limiter or has somebody changed the gears? Also it has the performance suspension is that what is called WS6?

The only limiter some these cars came with was at 112 if you didn't have V-rated tires. That was only in the later years too. That's as fast as your car can pull. What engine combo do you have?

89 Transam GTA, a few bolt ons

 

It has the 305 TPI engine. I still think it should pull on up to 140 at least. It is bone stock.
