I am leaving my car for about a month sitting on the street next to my apart. cause i'm flying home to NJ for the holidays. What is the best way of making sure it doesn't get stolen. I have already disconnected the main distributor/coil wire.
p.s. i don't have an alarm system on it and its already been broken into once.

88,
Don't make your car a "target" and it will be less likely to be eyed by potential thieves and vandals. Take out all valuable items, like CDs and tapes, coin holders, subwoofers and enclosures, amps, cell phones, etc. Don't forget to remove any valuable paperwork, like a resistration and insurance cards - these are often prized by thieves.
Something I've seen done, but am not sure if it would work, might be worth a try. Tape a note to the rear view mirror in plain sight of the driver reading "No oil in engine - fill before starting" or "Front brakes not holding" along with a bogus copy of a service order from a repair shop on the seat of dash. The theory is that thieves that can read are probably not going to bother trying to steal a car that will quit on them in the first block.
Another thing I've seen it to hang a part of an old wiring harness out from under the dash in the driver's footwell, with cut wires, extra fuses, and a roll of tape. Don't overdo it, just a couple of connectors and some wires hanging in plain sight to make your car look already "trashed". Flip the floor mat up over the seat to make it more apparent that someone has been working on the wiring. You can pop off the horn button and let it hang by the wire to add to the effect.
In other words, make your car look more like a typical Mustang and no one will want it.
