Working on my dad's 83 Camaro. They were going down the road and it all of a sudden died. It still gets dash lights, and it does crank, So I am pretty sure it is not the ingnition switch. After testing the coil wire which turned out good. We then went and tested for spark from the coil. Nothing. Check power and ground to coil. We have both, so we threw a coil at it today. Still nothing. any ideas, I am thinking ignition module next?

By the way this is on a 2.5 Iron Duke 4cyl in an 83 Camaro

 

We put an ignition module in it, and then cured it.

 

jus tfor future reference, i bought a brand new coil... put it in, still nothing... Took it back they tested it, they said for sure they knew it was good (they = autozone fools) and end of a horrid pain of tracing wires for shorts and such, it ended up the new coil was bad, a junkyard coil fired her right up..
