Ok Guys,
My car 90 RS with TBI has lost bottom end power.It will not idle half the time.
I have replaced the ECM,plugs,Disturbuter,cap,rotor button,O2 sensor,fuel filter,and cleaned the IAC.
Ok what gives? It is not giving any codes. I am replacing the coil today. Any ideas?

How is your fuel pressure?

 

Pull your 02 and take the car for a spin to see if it feels better. It will sound like it has a big exhaust leak, so don't be alarmed. If it feels better, your cat is plugged, and that doesn't take much with your stock 2 1/4" POS cat. Other than that, check ignition timing and if you have access to a scan tool, determine what your knock counts are. Good luck.

Try a compression check next. Cheaper than swapping parts.

I had a simular problem and I replaced the ignition control module in the distributor and that fixed it.
I was told it won't throw any codes if it is going bad, optimun word GOING. If the idling problem seems to get worse as the engine heats up then it is probably the module.

i was thinking clogged cat. compression test would tell you a lot too.

Cat is Hollow guys. Changed the coil.Changed IAC with No effect. Will check gap on plugs and do a compression check.May change plug wires too. Oh well I will up date in a day or so.
