Rear disc brakes seem to be sticking.

When I slow down or or start to roll my rear brakes will make a moaning sound. Sounds like they are sticking. Also, my E-brake needs to come almost vertical to keep the car still when I park the car.
If I need to change the rear pads, will it be the same as doing the front ones?
Thanks

The rear pads are pretty much that same, except you will need a tool to compress the piston back. It needs to be screwed back in, not just pushed in like the fronts. While you have it apart, check you cables, and lube the mounting bolts, and bleed the system.

Zepher,

Don't forget to clean and lube the park brake actuating screws. The recommended lubricant is clean brake fluid. Make sure the levers are operating freely, and the return springs are not broken from corrosion. Replacement springs are available, but you'll have to go to a real auto parts house to get them. The replacements should be a little stiffer, since the GM recall on these brakes included a stiffer spring as the solution.

It would also help to clean the park brake cables and lightly lube them with Lubriplate or some other white lithium grease.

In a nutshell, if you want your brakes to be fully functional and not stick, plan to spend some time on these rear calipers.
