New distributer or not?

Ok here is the deal my car die a few weeks ago, and found the pick up coil is corroded beyond belief. I got the new coil for $8, since I have to pull the ditrib any way should I replace it, if so which replacement?

if yours isn't bad why change it? if you do i'd look at msd parts first. i doubt if you'll feel much if any preformance gain from the distributor swap alone.

yeah i'd say you did, but i'm not sure what. it's usually pretty easy to get at with common tools and real easy with a distributor wrench.

Ok I had a distrib wrench and I keep hiting the full rails. So tonite I removed everything to the Intake manifold. So its out now and I put the new pick up coil in. When I pt it back together there are two retaining clips a circle and a square which should I use?

OMG dude, you must be a glutton for self punishment! A little more patience trying to get that bolt loose would make your life a lot easier!
