L30 Vortec heads...?

Some guy is selling heads off of his truck and advertising them as "L30 305 take-off Vortec heads"... aren't these 350 heads or is this guy on crack?

They made 305 Vorted heads also. Don't know one way or the other if they are designated L-30 or not. But word is they are no where near as good as their 350 counterparts.

Well, the reason I ask is because I have a set of Torquer/SR 305's I could throw on, or pick these up for like pennies and sell the torquer's for a chunk of change, ya dig? I'm just wondering how these puppies flow. Either way, with the amount (lack) of work I'm getting, my 350 buildup is looking more and more distant, and it pisses me off to see it gathering dust on my engine stand. =(

Re: L30 Vortec heads...?

Both are junk. You won't see much of a difference with either head. If cash-flow was a problem, I'd hock those SR torquers and fully port your existing heads. If the L30 vortecs have the taller roofs like the L31 heads, you'll need to buy another intake. You'll have to check if you plan to buy them. But seriously, the SR won't make your car that much faster. http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te...ild/index.html

Read the article after that one if you can find it. They were very disappointed.
