1 piece rear/2 piece rear will tranny work?

Will the stock 5 speed tranny from a 2 piece rear engine fit into a new 1 piece rear? Does it have anything to do with the tranny or is it just for the crank? Thanks

It's the flywheel that won't fit. the bolt pattern is different.
