Need help quick!!! What is the timing on '86 Camaro 2.8 FI???
I'm working on my buddy's Camaro right now because it failed emissions. Over on the HC's and CO's. Base timing was 10*, with the computer taking over it was 18*. Plugs, wires, cap/rotor done about 1 month ago, 02 done about 1 year ago.
Is the timing set correctly, (sticker missing from hood), and any ideas to get it to pass emissions?

I've got the Chilton here...the 2.8L 6 cyl (VIN S) for 1986 is 10 degrees before TDC. Also you might need to ground terminals A and B in the ALDL diagnostic connector to make sure the ECM doesn't advance the timing while you're setting it.
