I just installed a set of 90 deg Moroso Blue Max wires along with Made For You wire looms when I replaced my exh manifolds with Hooker 2055's. They look good and are performing well. Most guys opt for the MSD 8.5 or Taylor wires for a few extra bucks. Summit can get you a set fast, once you have decided.

I run the Taylor wires-spiral core on the car and Moroso Blue Max on the S-10. I do not like Taylors boots that fit over the spark plug-very bulky and with my Heddman LT's I have 3 boots that had to have the corners burnt off by the headers-they look nice new, but again, boots are square shaped and blocky as opposed to the other brands. I know alot of guys running the Summit brand 8mm wires and they perform just fine. If your running a MSD ignition or radio in the car, stay away from solid core wires

Belden makes a race wire thats even better then the premium wires too. The ignition on my truck cooked a set of 8mm MSD's in one year.. actually made them so hard you could point em like a stick! I finally went through the set of Beldens last month. Put them on in 96.. same ignition. I'm also running a set of summit wires on my bird. Been a year so far. And near as I can tell its Taylor wire with cheaper boots.

Anyway, I'd recommend either of those.

Yellow ACCEL Super Stock wires...

I was originally looking for black wires, or maybe blue, but these were the best set that my parts store had that I could afford (damn this high school budget, lol) when I replaced my cap, rotor and wires in June or July.

The color isn't really my favorite, they look a bit odd on top a blue SBC with an aluminum manifold and black plastic all over, lol... oh well, they work pretty damn good compared to the 20 year old GM wires (I kid you not, 20 year old OE wires!)

MSD superconductors. I love em. I've had them all and my headers didn't stand a chance with these.

Packard electric never heard of them who sells them. I was looking at the Summit wires and wondered who made them. I am considering the Taylors too. I know MSD has good stuff too. Thats why i am asking the boards for help here. Oh yes Packard they make the OE wires for all the major automakers. I think theyare a division of Delphi if I am not mistaken.

MSD 8.5mm. I thought about running mine under the headers, but it seems awfully tight down there, and didn't want to risk burning them up.

Ran msd for a few years. Just switched to grey/black borg warner 8.5mm wires, which cost $30 and carry a lifetime warranty.

Rezin how do you like the Borg Werners. I hear they are a pretty good plug for the price. Right now I am running the ugly Accell super stock wires. They were cheap but didnt last very long. The headers weaken the silicone in the boots and now they are starting to leak and arc

I use MSD 8.5mm superconductor (universal). I cut mine to length.

Summit blue silicone 8mm, 90 degree boots, Made For U centerbolt looms, Accel shorty plugs.

Routed over the top sooooo much cleaner than under was.

I like them. Only problem was the boot that connects to my distributor cap on each wire is a bit long so I had to shorten each one. They don't fit my made-for-you wire looms as well as the accels, but they do snap on to the plug tighter and look better. I ran the accels for about three years and they worked fine for a while until they melted through inside my wire insulators and started arcing so badly that they screwed up my computer.

I've only had them in a couple weeks now. But, I've got plenty of clearance so I don't anticipate any problem.

Packard Electric = the ignition division of AC/Delco

I run Taylor Spiro-Pro wores; they seem to fit just fine for me. No clearance issues whatsoever with SLP 1¾" headers.

Nobody uses Magnecor or Nology??

What's up with that?

What criteria do you use to pick a spark plug wire?

I have yet to buy some, so I am definitely not throwing stones.

I used to run Mallory wires. I switched to MSDs the last time I changed plug wires, but they didn't last very long before the insulation got cooked from the heat. I'm switching back to the Mallory wires...I ran them 2 years with no problems.

Moroso Ultra 40's. They cost quite a bit, but they are pretty good, only 40 ohms per foot.

MSD 8.5mm superconductors (under the headers). They are great so far and resist header heat really well. I'm happy
