ok i changed valve seals last week. no more smoke but my car is running like chitty bang bang. i have adjusted the valves three times. i have a tpi with 80000 miles. at first i had 1/2 turn past zero lash on all ..ran bad and stumbled, and during idle the car would jolt every few seconds. i noticed a tick on #8 and 6 so i tightened that and 6 intake and exhaust valves to 3/4 turn the car idles good know but when you are coasting and i guess the tq converter locks up (rpms go down to like 1200 in od) if i accelerate under partial load its rough then if i try giving it load the car pulsates and feels like im accelerating with abs engaged or its stumbling. its driving me nuts. theres no clacking except 8 on a cold start and no backfiring through intake the car feels ok except at that rpm range and wot. why is it pulsating like this. what could be wrong. i adjusted valves with car running, should i onlygive it 1/4 turn on each valve? does it sound like there overtightened or what. please help, i hate having to remove all my smog garbage to readjust the valves again just to have them screwed up. any suggestions appreciated. also has anyone experienced anything similar....
