SES light, but only code 12 retrieved

SES light, but only code 12 retrieved
Any ideas? It just keeps flashing code 12 over and over.
But that shouldn't cause an SES while it's running and driving I wouldn't think..

let me get it straight you get an ses light while driving and when you stop to pull the codes you only get a code 12?
