code 32 and 53
Im getting codes 32 and 53.
I know 32 is the EGR. Ive got that code since the day I got the car.
Im getting 53 every now and then also. which is
Over voltage condition
OR Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
OR Voltage reference error
OR Vehicle Anti-Theft System (VATS) problems
which of those apply to our cars?
What Im wondering is if the two codes are related to each other(egr problem) or if there is another problem I dont know about. like system over voltage.

If the car you are having trouble with is the one in your sig, then a code 53 is for the VATS. If the car cranks and runs, then it is either a short to ground or open circuit on circuit 229. If circuit 229 is ok, then the VATS decoder module is bad.
Circuit 229 is a dk. blue wire from the ECM to the VATS module.
ECM plug number B6 and VATS module plug A2.

yes its the Camaro in my sig. and I do have a problem with the vats keeping the car from starting every now and then.
so I guess that code is from the vats problem then.
