i recently had done a tune up on my 86 iroc-z and put a new mass air flow sensor in my car and my car is running really crappy. it used to be able to spin the tires when i held the brake and pushed on the gas . and now for about a month or so, i hold my foot on the brake and puch on the gas and it just wont peel .it just revs at 1000 rpms and wont go any higher . it wont spin or take off,it just wont go past 1000 rpms . can you please help me out i cant figure out why this is happening.

 

Maybe something is wrong with the new MAF???

What else did you get done with this tune up?

BTW, please only post a question up once on one board. It makes it easier to respond to and the mods will delete unecessary posts.

 

do a search on MAF replacements here on the boards. I think you'll find that unless you replace your MAF with a Bosch unit you could have problems. A few of the aftermarket units have what appears to be chip boards in them. You need the one that looks like your stock one.
