Transmission: 700R4 T-56 coming
what weight oil do you use in a 400 hp 350 small block

thnks I live in jersey and its getting cold its a 355 500miles on it so far thnks

Same as you'd use in any other motor with similarly normal power output...

I'd recommend 10W-30 high quality full synthetic such as Mobil1, Amsoil, RedLine, Royal Purple, etc.; maybe Valvoline; not Castrol or Pennzoil.

Go as thin as you can IMO. Thicker oil just robs you of hp.

i know you highly recomend Amsoil.. and i understand all your other recomendations except for NOT using Pennzoil. I thought i remember seeing some test that said the Pennzoil Synthetic was just below Mobil 1? its been a while but im just curious because i like to have all the information i can about this sorta stuff. and im not trying to start a "wich oil is better" thread. im only concerned with pennzoil. i dont even use it (i use mobil 1) but like i said im jsut curious here.
