plug wire resistance

i'm checked the resistance on the # 1 and 3 plug wires and they were at about 10,000ohms. is this to much? the wires arn't that old, maybe a few thousand miles. there double silicone wires from autozone. could it hurt performance? what should the resistance be?

Typical carbon filament resistance wires are 2,500-3,500 ohms per foot. If they are 3' long, they're probably O.K. I know it sounds like a lot, but, 10K ohms is really nothing when you consider the 20,000+ volts that a spark plug will require to ionize and arc across the gap.
