Power Steering Problem

It's getting cold up here in Northern Florida, well not COLD, but cold enough that the car has a very thin layer of ice on it when sitting out at night.....

Whenever i start the car, a loud whine from the power steering pump and it continues until the car heats up and then the sound goes away.....It's also kind of hard to turn when it's cold as well....

Is this normal? Or is my power steering pump going? Only does this when it's cold though.....?

Sounds like the pump is getting weak.

Might try a fluid change-out to see if that helps. Use a synthetic-based fluid for better temperature range.
