Well the headliner is pretty self explanatory. I did an engine swap; 305 TBI to 383 carb. Everything is hooked up and I go to fire it up. Nothing. I checked the starter with the test light and it glows bright, so I know it has power. Why the !@#$ won't the starter turn? Its brand new too, just bought two days ago! Anyone got any ideas?

ok stupid question time, how do you know it has spark if the starter won't turn the engine over? bad starter? have you bench tested it? park/nutral safety switch?

 

Did you wire it yourself? Is it wired correctly?

 

Ok you got me, I don't know if it has spark. But it should, everything is wired up and has power going to it. Do you think the starter is bad already? The thought had crossed my mind but seeing how its brand frikin new I'd hoped it would work. Maybe I should take it back and have it tested. Everything that was hooked up before to the TBI engine is hooked up now. Minus some of the dumbass sensors. Well time to go play with it somemore.
