Swapping in 350, ported heads w/ LT1 intake...

I just got a L98 out of an '88 IROC (78,000 miles) that I'm going to swap into my Formula 305. Currently, my intake is a stock SD TPI and I have a LPE 211/219 cam in the 305.
I'm going to put the LPE cam into the 350, but I'm not sure about the heads and intake. I have an LT1 intake that I might use. I've see lots of people here have success with that. Would it be worth it for me to port out the heads? At some point in the future I plan I getting a 383 or 406, so I don't want to put too much money into this motor. If I do port the heads will I need to replace the valves? should I get larger ones? What does a standard valve job include...is that just lapping of the valves/seats? Any other suggestings on this combo would be appreciated.
thanks,
Chris
