Angle of the studs for the rocker arms

Hey all,

I measured the angle of the studs (relative to the flat part of the heads) and came up with 12°. I will attempt to spot face the bosses and I want to make sure that I got the right angle.

Anybody done this out there?

when i do stud bosses i set the boss up level. i sticl a couple of bolts in the intake or exhaust bolt holes and use screw jacks to raise the head till the boss is level and then clamp the head.

I'm doing this on a drill press and I have to build a fixture to "level" the bosses. I will also use the drill press to enlarge the boss holes to accept the 7/16" stud fastener and to help in aligning the tap for cutting threads.

I'm sure of the angle I mesured, just looking for a "warm fuzzy" out there.

Actually, the blueprint angle should be 11° 30" 0'.

Once again :hail:Vader comes thru!

So I'm off by 1/2°, not too bad considering I used an inclinometer.

I'll build the fixture with a 11.5° angle.
