AC Compressor toasted and burning up serpentine belt!

Hey all...

I was met with a new problem this afternoon after work. My AC compressor is completely frozen up and toasting my serpentine. Now, I was looking at purchasing an AC Delete pulley to drop in there until summer time when I'd obtain a new compressor.

My question is.. Can I use the existing heater box or would I need one of the others advertised as "AC Delete heater box"? I would think the existing box would work just fine but am not sure.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Chris

you can use the A/C box with the delete pulley. you'll just have A/C lines hanging since there is no compressor to connect 'em to.

Well that'd be fine.. just as long as my heat still worked. Will it or will I need the other box. I know AZ doesn't get as cold as the rest of the country.. but we still have sub 40 degree morinngs on the way to work.

excellent.. I found a pulley at my local Chevy dealer.. It was the last one in the state. I didn't mind spending an extra couple bucks to get it now instead of having to wait at least 7 - 10 days from Hawk's or other 3rd Gen suppliers.
