JDM,

One of my cars weights 4,400 lbs. and has an XTREME RPM 276HR-14 and 1.6:1s (.544/.544-112° LSA), and it runs fine. I lost a little low end torque, but the planned converter swap should address that before the snow melts. It has 2.02/1.60 valves in heavily ported/welded heads, stock EFI, 10.5:1 compression, and enlarged stock exhaust. Best on street tires is 14.04/94.

The 274 looks like a mechanical roller in the Comp book. Are you going mechanical?

no it's a hydralic flat tappet. Maybe it's a 272, i don't know. It has 230/236 duration and .487/.490 lift and 110 lobe sep. In CHP they used a 268 which has 224/230 duration with my exact same heads and it made lots of low end. Thanks.

It's probably a good cam to use with a manual transmission and non-computer controlled induction system. You'll want to be sure that you have ported those heads though... Otherwise a considerable amount of the valve lift may be wasted.

I'm using the XE262H cam in my 305, and I'm knocking on 13 seconds / 101MPH... I'm sure you'll do better as long as you address the flow.

JDM,

I've got a 274 XE hydraulic in a 3130 LB. car (with driver) that works very well on the street. It will pull hard to 6,000 RPM in your 350. My buddy with a 350 and the 268 XE wants more cam - his stops pulling hard at 5,700 RPM.

It's a good all-around choice. Good luck.
