Noisy new shifter.

Alright, I installed my B&M Ripper shifter about a week ago and have been getting some strange noises from it. It almost sounds like a slight grinding when it is in gear. Also, the noise that the car makes in reverse (always has) ismuch louder. I thought maybe I did not install the lower boot completely, but I checked and it is ok. The only otgher thing I can think of is that maybe the beefier stick is simply transferring more noise up into the car. It is not lound noise, but I want to make sure nothing is wrong.

Sarge,

I don't have any experience with the B&M shifters, but I do know that some aftermarket shifters will transmit more noise to the passenger compartments, especially the top-loading shifters. Older short-throw Hurst shifters with solid bushings (as opposed to nylon) would do the same thing.

Anybody else?

Thats what I figured, Vader. I did not think I could do anything wrong with this install. It doesn't take much more than a blind, deaf cow to put one of these in, thanks for the reply.
