3.73's v.s. 3.42's on a stock L98 with 1 3/4" SLP headers

Just wondering what are the best gears 3.73's or 3.42's on a stock L98 with SLP 1 3/4" headers and crane ignition box (if that matters at all). Are the 3.73's not any benefit because of the stock TPI rev range or would they be better than the 3.42's because of the loss of bottom end torque with the headers?

Go with the 3.42's, 3.73's will get you out of your power band to quick. As for loosing low end torque you won't loose much at least not enough to worry about. L98's have TONS of torque and with 3.42's a little less torque would probably be good because you would put your power to the ground more effectivly. I have 3.42's on my car and can spin my Z rated tires all the way through first no problem.
