T56 vs. richmond 6-speed

I recently ran into a guy at the san diego navy auto hobby shop,we got to discussing the manual swaps and he believes that T56s just plain s uck.he did reccomend the richmond 6spd. ofcourse that $2800 monster has got to be bad A$$,whats wrong with GMs T56?? I'm going to keep my engine stock for awhile so I can't see how a 4th gen tranny couldn't handle a couple hundred horses.

Couple of problems with T-56 include an electronically controlled sixth gear on later models(very hard to swap) and very very expensive clutch replacement. A friend was quoted $1200 replacement by Chevy dealer w/$750 in parts alone.

$750 in parts?? ouch!!! I suppose I could make a clutch last, as I don't really beat on my car much any more.
