TES Headers Interfering With Oil Cooler?

We've been putting edelbrock TES headers on an 88 formula 350 today, we got the d-side header in, but it looks like the oil cooler is going to be in the way with the y-pipe, or the lines will be touching the collector. Anyone have the TES headers with an oil cooler?? If so, did you have any problems and what do you suggest doing to fix it?

I recently done the same thing on my 89 formula 350 . the oil cooler lines are close to the header but are not touching about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. away might try moving the flange so it's not so close . doe your car have the dual cat setup? mine did. had to remake the y-pipe with the supplied pipes(edelbrock kit) but worked out o.k.

I have the TES with oil cooler the lines come really close to touching it but no problems yet they've been on the car for 3 or 4 years now. I was planning on replacing the hose with a new one with heat wrap but the OEM hasn't even started to get soft yet.

I just installed Hooker 2210s and just removed it completely. I can't imagine that the oil cooler is doing much, considering it just runs (hot) coolant around the filter flange. Added bonus is you can run a longer filter if its gone.(WIX-51061) Just run a cooler thermostat and a cooler fan switch and you shouldn't need it. Just more uneaded weight to carry around.
