Harmonic Balancer Tool Reqd?
Its more perferred than beating it up with a hammer. Yet, use a bolt about 1.5" longer than your present bolt, apply a nut on it, then a large washer. Turn the nut in, and it will force the balancer on. You can also look at some autoparts stores. Checker's in AZ will charge you $30 or so to rent it, when you are done, you receive a full refund.

Yeah. It's pretty easy to get away without the install tool. I agree fully with him if you don't use the install tool use a bolt, washer and nut and not a hammer. All the install tool is are those three things just a bit fancier.

I agree, beating it on with a hammer can really screw up a balancer in a hurry. I just ordered a balancer installation tool from Performance Automotive Wholesale for only $22.95.
